Experiencing work

Bookworm has just finished 3 days work experience and she’s exhausted.  Getting ‘work fit’ is hard  work (pardon the pun) – she’s used to early mornings because of the commute to school each day but she hasn’t been getting home from the city until after 6 each evening and that’s a long day for a 15 year old – I don’t know how all those kids travelling hours and hours to go to private schools manage it.  How do they have time to be kids?

Work experience was at Little Hare, a small, specialist children’s book publisher.  This wonderful team took my little girl under their collective wings, looked after her, taught her things, gave her meaningful things to do and showed her a bit about the fascinating world of publishing.
